1. Fête d'Arcachon
A key date not to miss in Arcachon is March 25th, the day of the Annunciation and the city's patronal feast. This moment in the heart of Arcachon honors sailors lost at sea with a religious ceremony at the Basilica of Notre-Dame, followed by a flower-decked procession to the Chapel Pier and the Sailors' Cross.
Afterward, the city comes alive with concerts, shows, and walks through the pedestrianized streets of Arcachon. It’s a great opportunity to celebrate culture, heritage, and local traditions of the Bay!
2. Salon nautique
The Arcachon Nautical Show is back for its 10th edition from April 18 to 21, 2025!
During these 4 festive days, the show highlights the world of boating with activities for the whole family at the Arcachon Harbor.
Open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., this event is the perfect time to discover the latest innovations, expertise, and creations of the maritime industry through numerous local, national, and international exhibitors. Additionally, conferences, performances, boat exhibitions, and special guests are also on the agenda.
In short, this weekend festival lets you learn much more about the maritime sector!
3. Plage des écrivains
For book lovers, we recommend not missing the literary event of the year in the Arcachon Bay: The "Plage des écrivains".
Join us in an idyllic setting on May 3 and 4, 2025, in front of the Palais des Congrès, where you will find a seaside village bringing together authors and literature enthusiasts eager to share their love of books.
With activities, literary awards, author meetings, readings on the beach, and even oyster tastings, you’re sure to have an unforgettable time!
4. Jumping des Sables
The iconic equestrian event of the Arcachon Bay, Jumping des Sables, returns from June 12 to 15!
Each year, Arcachon hosts this competition bringing together the best French riders for shows and classic events! Among the highlights is the main event, the Derby, which is held on the Pereire beach at low tide. But that’s not all—there are 4 days of challenging and technical show-jumping events, with a magnificent spectacle at the Arcachon equestrian center!
Additionally, an exhibitor village will offer a wide range of equestrian products, and food enthusiasts will be delighted by a dining area managed by the organizing association and two local restaurateurs.
5. Soirée blanche
Get ready for a night to remember with one of the most iconic parties of the summer in Arcachon!
As every year, don’t miss the famous White Night of Arcachon. True to its name, the dress code is simple yet elegant: everyone must wear white.
The concept? A free and open event for all. The town hall sets up the area with tables and benches for everyone’s comfort, and each participant brings their picnic and drinks to enjoy a convivial moment together in a festive atmosphere.

7. Fêtes de la mer
Save the date!
On August 14 and 15, experience a celebration of the sea in the Arcachon Bay with activities and religious celebrations starting from the Town Hall.
With your yellow scarf tied around your neck, come watch the traditional nautical parade and the blessing of the boats on the Arcachon seafront with your loved ones.
A true regional emblematic event, there will be many activities, including brass bands, giant picnics, concerts, and even a fireworks display.
8. Arcachon Triathlon
Want to take on the ARCATHLON challenge this year?
For its 20th edition, the Arcachon Triathlon returns on October 4, 2025, with its 3 legendary events starting from the Arbousiers beach!
Come swim in the Bay, bike on the roads of Arcachon, and run through the city streets to experience a unique sporting event in an exceptional natural setting.
The perfect opportunity to combine performance and fun in a sporting challenge!
For information, the Arcathlon offers two types of courses: XS and M. The XS course includes 0.5 km of swimming, 11 km of cycling, and 2.5 km of running. The M course includes 1.5 km of swimming, 40 km of cycling, and 10 km of running.
